[Father Paul]

This weekend, we invite you to sign up for our small groups during Lent. We begin our small groups in the week of March 3rd (Ash Wednesday is March 5th), and we will continue for six weeks. Large sign-up sheets will be posted on the walls in the Vision Cafe for people to sign up for any group they want! The host of each group is listed on each sheet, along with the type of participants each host is interested in and when and where they will be meeting. For example, some hosts might prefer to meet with only women, only men, or people who are doubting the faith, etc. We will all be reading the book “Rebuilt Faith: A Handbook for Skeptical Catholics.” Books are free for anyone who wants to join a small group (we have 500 of them).

Why such an emphasis on small groups? There are many reasons; I’ll share one reason each week until we start. This week: Small groups are how large parishes maintain that “small parish” feel, because we get to know each other and support each other specifically on our journey of faith. And our parish is most certainly getting larger!

So, even if you’re not “skeptical,” our Lenten small group campaign is a great journey to share with others, and it will strengthen your faith, build up our community, and bring us all closer to Christ as a parish as well as individuals. I hope you can join us!

Missional Health Assessment

Bishop Bergie is asking clergy and as many parishioners as possible across the Diocese complete the Parish Missional Health Assessment. This is a tool to help define a clear, realistic picture of every parish’s strengths and growth areas.

Please visit

and take a few minutes to complete the brief survey. You will get instant, personalized results delivered straight to your inbox. All results are also submitted anonymously to the diocese to give a comprehensive overview of how we are fulfilling our missionary call to evangelize.
