33rd World Day of the Sick - On the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, February 11, we also celebrate the 33rd World Day of the Sick.
In this year’s message, “Hope does not disappoint” (Rom 5:5), but strengthens us in times of trial", Pope Francis encourages us to become “pilgrims of hope”.
The World Day of the Sick reminds the faithful to pray for the sick; it invites us to reflect upon the meaning of human suffering; and it recognizes and honours all persons who work in the healthcare field.
Here at St. Alexander at the 9am Mass on Tuesday, February 11th we will be offering a communal celebration of the Sacrament of the Sick.
